Mike Hassig is an artist based in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Collage art has always been a unique form of artistic expression, with it's ability to blend various materials, textures, and colors to create a cohesive and stunning visual display. Hassig is a master of collage. His talent is showcased with his incredible skill and imagination communicated using the language collage.
Artist Statement
My medium of choice is paper collage. I maintain an old school approach to my collage work. The only tools I utilize are titanium bladed scissors, an x-Acto knife and Uhu brand glue sticks. My paper sources are limitless. My own painted papers, history books, maps etc. are in my inventory to be used.

"Hassig's collage art combines found images and colored paper, all meticulously arranged and layered to create intricate and dynamic abstract compositions. His work does not have a starting point; instead, the work comes from the intricate juxtaposing of pieces.
